We Received £70,000 from Imperial’s UKRI IAA Award
Our project, “Everting Robot Endoscopy for Next Generation Theranostics,” has received £70,000 from Imperial College London’s UKRI Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) under the Innovation for a Healthy Society theme.
The project is led by Professor Ferdinando Rodriguez y Baena, with James Kinross and me as co-applicants. It builds directly on my postdoctoral research into a self-propelled soft everting robotic colonoscope. I led and wrote the proposal in collaboration with Professor Ferdinando Rodriguez y Baena and James Kinross, developing my postdoctoral work towards a translational project.
The funding period runs from February 2026 to February 2027. The project aims to advance the TRL of the device, supporting its further development and future clinical translation.
