Overview
My journey into robotics began with Formula Student during my undergraduate studies at Harbin Institute of Technology. As Team Leader of the HIT Racing Team in Season 2015-2016, I worked with more than 60 students to design, manufacture, integrate, and test a fully electric Formula Student race car.
Unlike a typical coursework project, Formula Student was a complete engineering experience. We were responsible for every aspect of the vehicle, from mechanical design and electrical architecture to embedded control systems, manufacturing, testing, project management, sponsorship, and competition.
The project taught me how to build reliable engineering systems under tight deadlines and collaborate within a large multidisciplinary team. Many of the skills I use today in robotics system integration, rapid prototyping, and experimental validation were first developed during this experience.
